What is a Malthusian?

A concise definition.

A Malthusian is a person who fears or predicts future dystopias of poverty, famine and immiseration based on the false belief that there aren't enough resources to go around for humanity, while simultaneously demanding (as solutions to this alleged future dystopia) policies that that reduce the production of those resources, in turn causing famine-inducing immiseration and poverty.

The Malthusian's emotional drive is almost always misanthropy, and his goal is almost always to sabotage or eliminate human flourishing.  Scratch a Malthusian and you will discover a narcissist who absolutely hates his fellow man — and abhors the implementation of practical means for his fellow man to flourish.
