WordPress search and replace

WordPress search and replace in actionEver wish, while editing a post, that you could find and replace a string in the contents of your post? This plugin does exactly that, but with a twist: you can use Perl-compatible regular expressions.

This tool is also bundled with Turbocharged for WordPress. Need support? Buy it and get other plugins, themes and support for free.

WordPress search and replace inserts a “Search/Replace” button in your post management pages. When you click that button, a new toolbar appears above the post content, which lets you specify a regular expression and a replacement for that regular expression.

Note to WordPress 2.0 users:

If you are using the rich editor, you won’t see the toolbar at all. This toolbar only works with the plain text editor. I’m working on a solution to this issue.

When clicking Replace, your contents are submitted to the server using AJAX, along with the expression and the replacement. The server processes the content, and then returns the processed text.
