This plugin, once installed and activated, will let you mark a page (not a post) as a home page. Once you’ve marked a page as the home page, it will show as the first post on your front page of your blog.

Since I wrote this plugin, I’ve invented a different technique to get a static front page in WordPress. It’s less involved and it has fewer drawbacks. Come check it out.

Usage instructions

How to use:

  • install and activate
  • on the page that you’d like to show on the front page of your blog, add a custom post field titled homepage, with a value of 1. That’s it.
