RevvedUp 1.3 is up!

Monday, February 6th, 2006

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the famous RevvedUp theme for WordPress has been updated. Version 1.3 includes the following changes:

  • full compatibility with WordPress 2.0.1
  • several inconsistencies regarding archive page navigation have been solved
  • special pages (archives, directory index, error pages) autoconfigure themselves now through URL rewriting hooks
  • the calendar appears on all pages, even on directory indexes
  • the WordPress Sociable, the AutoMeta and the Creative Commons configurator plugins have been transparently integrated, and the theme will display the appropriate information if these plugins are installed and enabled
  • the navigation links in archive pages have been made more usable, prominent and elegant
  • links to Popdex and PageRank checker have been included
  • several images have been eliminated, making the theme lighter
  • banner advertising code and styles related to it have been moved to separate files
  • the comments popup page now disallows indexing, so your comment pages won’t compete with your posts in Google and other search engines

As usual, go to the download page for RevvedUp to get the latest version!

Blogging Pro News picked up the RevvedUp theme!

Thanks, guys!

It’s clear to me now — all the naysayers were wrong

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

Indeed, all the fags and whiners criticizing my RevvedUp theme (which were like five people) were definitely wrong. I’m seeing a relatively huge storm of post reads and download activity into my Web hosting account, mostly coming from this Weblog Tools Collection post. Thanks, Weblog Tools Collection!

In summary, I posted the theme archive yesterday evening, and the story got picked up by the “mainstream blog press” later that night. So far, (and this is just for today) the page for the theme has seen more than 600 visits, alone! At this rate, it will easily trump my most read stories.
