Aparentemente ya lo han superado. Recuerda que los imanes modernos (tanto de neodimio como electromagnetos) son muchísimo más poderosos y eficientes que los de hace veinte.

yo pregunto.. y cual es la vida util de los aparatejos?.. porque aca en las carreteras de ecuador durarian la mitad.. no hay vaina que aguante tanto bache junto seria mas o menos un juego de esos amortiguadores por cada viaje a manta

Bueno deben durar mas que los convencionales, ahi hay fuerzas magneticas en juego más que fuerzas mecánicas.
Pero lo del viaje a manta es 100% cierto.
