GTK+ and Qt should copy this urgently!

Task Dialogs. Yes, they’re on Vista. We should have them too, if anything because they seem to be a great idea. Huge action buttons (hard to miss with mouse pointers), clear and easy-to-read text, and an API that encourages sane usage.

Yes, I’m aware that we could do the same with (at least) GTK+ buttons with a few layout containers packed in. Now, where’s the easy-to-use implementation in a vein similar to the Response abstractions in GTK+?

Más malas noticias sobre Microsoft Zune

Whoa, no me sorprende para nada, pero Microsoft Zune no reproduce ningún tipo de medio restringido por el viejo esquema de DRM (Digital Restrictions Management) del mismo Microsoft! Esto, en la práctica, significa que ningún dueño de Zune podrá tocar su música legalmente comprada por Internet — sólo la música descargada de Internet en formato MP3, AAC o (gasp!) WMA.

Para que vean que cuando yo decía cuidado con DRM, no estaba haciendo la de Pedrito y el lobo.

Juan Xavier… ¿todavía quieres un Zune? ¿Incluso si te toca violar leyes ecuatorianas para escuchar tu música Windows Media Audio?
